Dan Mombourquette
president
Dan Mombourquette is owner and president of DM Services.  He began his involvement in audio systems with a company he formed over three decades ago that provided  music services for live entertainment events and dances in the Kitchener area.  This company evolved into the DRAM Agency, which handled personal management and bookings for area bands, and promoted concerts featuring bands such as Roy Orbison and Chuck Berry.

Dan took on the personal management of the rock band Major Hoople's Boarding House during the early '70s until the group disbanded, and then teamed up with Paul Reibling, and then Wayne Dietrich to form AOI Pro Audio.  For the next twenty five years, AOI provided sound system design, manufacturing and installation in the Waterloo region, including manufacturing Martin enclosures for the Heinl Group which were distributed across Canada.

AOI custom designed its own concert systems, including bass bins, mids and horn cabinets.  These were installed in such venues as Lulu's Roadhouse, UW Fed Hall, and area arenas and high schools.  AOI also provided sound system rentals, and system design and installation, being one of the first companies in Canada to use emerging computer technologies such as JBL's CADP to predict room response, and then verifying the results using MLSSA.  Projects that Dan oversaw include sound installs at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium (The Aud), Lulu's Roadhouse, and Waterloo Pentecostal Assembly church.

As well as all this, Dan has continued to promote and provide sound for concerts featuring groups and organizations such as the Bara MacNeils, Michael Burgess, the Elora Festival, the Fergus Scottish Festival, and Mission Fest at the Toronto Convention Centre.

He is an active member of the Toronto section of the Audio Engineering Society, as a committee member, and as past chairman.
